9 Belarus towns to get visa-free regime with Lithuania
The list includes Hrodna, Lida, Astravets, Ashmyany, Smarhon, Schuchyn, Myadzel, Pastavy and Braslau, the press attache of the Belarusian embassy in Vilnius told the European Radio for Belarus.
Apart from the towns, rural districts attached will also be included.
The two countries plan to intrduce simplified procedures for border crossing for the residents of Belarus and Lithuania, ERB reorted earlier. The visa-free zone will stretch for 50 km from the state border in the both countries. The residents of the border zone will be able to travel across the border using special IDs.
Belarus and Lithuania are expected to hold another round of negotiations regarding the border area.
