About a million Belarusians celebrate Left-Handers Day today

The International Left-Handers Day is marked today. The holiday was announced by UNESCO 25 years ago.
According to statistics, about 500 million left-handers live on Earth now. It is practically every tenth person. Scientists claim that about 10% of Europeans are born left-handed.

Psychologists and pedagogues think that left-handed children are able to react very quickly. They chose creative professions more often – artists, painters and writers.

Such celebrities as Paul McCartney, Marilyn Monroe, Pablo Picasso, Jimmy Hendrix, Mahatma Gandhi, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton and Fidel Castro were left-handers, reports “Interfax-West”.
