All Brest Region candidates who sent complaints to CEC are refused registration
The Central Election Commission has refused to allow the appeal of four deputy contenders wishing to take part in the parliamentary elections in Brest Region. Two of them – Alyaksandr Apanasyuk and Alyaksandr Halkevich – are members of the Belarusian Communist Party and were on the list of the United Democratic Forces.
BelaPAN informs that Apanasyuk was refused because he had not mentioned his motorcycle in the declaration and Halkevich “had a lot of fake signatures”.
The CEC has not registered two representatives from Vitsebsk Region – Alena Famina and a member of the Belarusian Social-Democratic Party (Hramada) Alyaksandr Makulin either. More than 15% of their signatures were announced to be fake. Moreover, there was no party structure in Mikulin’s constituency although he was nominated by his party.
