Andrzej Poczobut beaten during interrogation in KGB
In the end they handed him an "Official warning on unacceptability of illegal behaviour", issued by the head of the regional KGB administration Ivan Korzh.
A journalist from Hrodna Andrzej Poczobut was detained and interrogated by the KGB representatives with regard to the events which took place in Minsk on December 19, on January 8. Poczobut wrote in his livejournal that he had chosen the tactics of silence, and had been beaten in the face, in the chest and in the head for this.
It is stated in the document, that the journalist has been put on the "prophylactic record" since January 5. He was warned for "participation in a non-sanctioned protest event in Minsk on December 19, which ended in public order violation and resistance to the law-enforcement agencies' representatives". It is also said in the document that if such activity is continued further it might lead to committing a crime described in Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus ("Mass Disturbances"). .
Andrzej Poczobut wrote he disagreed with the warning. He intends to file a complaint at KGB's actions to the public prosecutor's office, reports BelaPAN.
