Attorney General Vasilevich meets human rights defenders in connection with Kazulin’s case
Representatives of the Belarusian Helsinki Committee – human rights defenders Hary Pahanyaila and Alena Tankachova have met the Attorney General of Belarus Ryhor Vasilevich.
Alyaksandr Kazulin’s former lawyer Ihar Rynkevich informed ERB about it.
“They presented an appeal of the BHC asking to be humane and to give Alyaksandr Kazulin a short break so that he could take part in the funeral of his wife. They sent the letter to the Minister of Internal Affaires and the head of the Penal Department”.
Іhar Rynkevіch also notes that civil funeral rites dated for the death of Iryna Kazulina and the funeral have been put off until Alyaksandr Kazulin is released.
