Authorities demolish monument to benefits in Pruzhany (photo)
The monument to social benefits has been demolished in Pruzhany. It was installed by youth activists of the United Civil Party on January 27.
The monument was a concrete gravestone with inscriptions “We love”, “We remember, “We mourn”, “Benefits 1975-2007”. Participants of the opening ceremony commemorated the cancelled social benefits with a minute of silence.
The action was dated for the 40th day since the law on benefits cancellation came into power. There is a huge hole and scattered flowers instead of the monument now.
