Bakiyev: Russia is indirectly to be blamed for turmoil in Kyrgyzstan

Kurmanbek Bkiyev told during a press conference in Minsk on April 23 that ih his resignation would have been demanded before the cout d'etat, he would have agreed in order to prevent victims. He also said he was yet to decide how long he would stay in Belarus. Russia is indirectly responsible for the unrest in Kyrgyzstan, ouste president Kormanbek Bakiyev told reports in Minsk. He said that increased duties on petrochemical productions triggered the price growth that caused the public unrest. Besides, Moscow did not loke U.S. military bases in Kyrgyzstan.

Bakiyev noted that he fled his country at the request of Vladimir Putin and Kazakh president Nursultan Nazarbayev who demanded to prevent war between the southern and northern Kyrgyzstan.

He once again reminded that he did not recognise his resignation, because his relatives are being prosecuted. At the same time, Bakiyev noted he was not going to returm to this home country in the near future. He is yet to decide how long he will stay in Minsk. He has no plans to seek political asylum in any country.

He complained than none of his colleague from The Organization of Threaty on Collective Security has approached hi. "Perhaps, they fear to end up in the same situation!" He also thanked Lukashenka who did not fear to accept him.

According to him, all the criminal gangs from the neighboring countries are now in Bishkek, looting is widespread.
