Barak Obama sweeps to historic victory
Democratic candidate Barak Obama swept to victory Tuesday to become the first black president of the United States. The win was decided in California which gave him a strong lead (334 votes out of 270 needed in the electoral college). Republican hopeful John McCain received only 157 votes.
