Belarus border guards get OSCE grant
A new computerized monitoring system will be installed at the Belarusian border, thanks to a Euro90,000 grant from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), designed to equip the analytical centers of the border control service.
The new system aims to help the Belarusian border guards be briefed about the real-time situation at the border, reports the Minsk-based television channel STV. It will be a vital element in the fight against the international terrorism, drug-smuggling and the trafficking in people. A team of Belarusian border guards will also travel to Germany to exchange experience with their collegues from the European Union.
