Belarus to choose its participant for “Euroviison-2008” today
The final stage of the National Musical TV project “Eurofest” will take place in Minsk Sports Palace today. Four candidates will be competing for the right to represent Belarus at the international song contest “Eurovision-2008” in Belgrade: Gunesh, band “Litesound”, Ruslan Alyahno and band “Po Glazam”.
The winner will be chosen by the jury consisting of the Minister of Culture Uladzimir Rylatka, composer Vasil Rainchyk, art director of the “Syabry” band Anatol Yarmolenka, composer Yadviha Paplauskaya, singer Iryna Darafeeva and members of administration of the Belarusian TV and Radio Broadcasting Company. The head of the jury is a national artist of Belarus Mihail Finberg.
A Ukrainian singer Ruslana, a Finnish band “Lordi”, our “Moscow” compatriot Natallya Padolskaya and other visitors will come to the concert. A Minsk pupil Alyaksei Zhyhalkovich who won children’s “Eurovision-2007” will also be present at “Eurofest”. Live broadcast of the concert will start on the First National Channel at 9.40 p.m.
