Belarus-EU business cooperation council to open office in Minsk
A representative office of the Belarus-EU Business Cooperation Council could be opened in Minsk, Council chairman James Willson said in a statement. This can be possible if activities planned for 2008 become a success. James Willson also noted that the Belarus-EU business council mediates the process "aimed to restore Belarus in the system of trade preferences".
Interfax news agency reports that the council was founded in 2007 in order to promote economic cooperation between Belarus and the European Union. The council is based in Brussels.
