Belarus foreign ministry, Lukashenko's press office have no comment over conflict with Poland

The Belarusian foreign ministry has made no comment yet in respond to the statement of the Polish president Lech Kaczynski and Polish foreign minister Radoslaw Sikorski. Alexander Lukashenko's press office has issued no comment either. In an earlier development, the head of the neighboring state sent a letter to Lukashenko asking to sort out the situation surrounding the Polish ethnic minority in Belarus.

Warsaw has also approved a plan of actions regarding Belarus which envisages among others a travel ban for several Belarus officials who were associated with the arrests of Polish minority activists.

Polish prime minister's spokesman Pawal Gras said that the Polish government was expecting an answer to the letter that was handed to Belarus foreign minister Sergei Martynov before "making next steps".
