Belarus holding presidential election
Presidential election has started today in Belarus. Polling stations will work from 8 a.m. till 8 p.m.
Citizens can vote for one of the ten presidential candidates at any of the 6 390 polling stations, including 44 abroad. According to the data provided by the CEC, 7 million 94 thousand citizens have the right to cast a ballot.
In order to receive a ballot, a citizen should present any ID, in case he is included into the voters’ list at this very polling stations.
The presidential election will be acknowledged if more than 50% of the total number of voters included in the list actually vote. The candidate who gets more than half of votes of citizens who participated in the election, becomes President.
