Belarus is the most “motorized” country in CIS

The European Automobile Manufacturers' Association has announced Germany to be the most motorized country in the world. Belarus has taken the first position in the CIS, informs “Delo”. According to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA) there are 563 cars per 1 thousand inhabitants in Germany. In analysts’ opinion, it can be explained by the fact that Germany has reasonable prices for domestic cars and the most effective system of state preferences and credit programmes allowing even people of scanty means to acquire automobiles.

Italy is in the second position. There are 548 cars per 1 thousand inhabitants in the country. Austria is the last in the top-3 – 510 cars. Let us note that Western European countries have 508 cars per 1 thousand people on average and there are 307 cars in the countries that founded the EU.

Belarus has taken the first position among CIS member states (261 cars), however, specialists note that cars in Belarus are of low quality and rather old. Russia follows Belarus with 230 cars per 1 thousand inhabitants.
