Belarus spent $350,000 on its ice hockey championship bid

The Belarusian government spent $350,000 for advancing the country's bid to host the World Ice Hockey Championships in 2014, Uladzimir Navumau, head of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation, told Interfax.
Navymau stressed that the investment will pay off because Belarus won the right to host the tournament.

"Hungary, I think, spent much more than we on its bid. I observed their promotion campaign," Interfax quotes Navumau as saying.
