The Warsaw-based Belarusians on Dzyady Day (November 2) paid tributes to the graves of compatriots on the territory of Poland. The event was organized by the Belarusian National Memory, a non-profit group that searches for the burial places of Belarusians in Europe.
The participants first visited the site where Belarusian General Stanislaw Bulak-Bulakhovich was killed by the Nazis in 1940. They lit candles and read prayers near the memorial plate. The burial place of the general who fought for the independence of Belarus in 1920s is not known.

Tributes were also paid to Jakub Yasinski and Tadevish Korsak who fought among the ranks of Tadevush Kasciushka's troops. The event participants then headed to Brudnouski Cemetery where Alena Senuikh, a member of the Union of Belarusia Youth, was laid to rest. Her brother and famous translator of the Belarusian literature into Polish Czeslaw Senuikh told the audience about the fate of Alena Senuikh.

A group of Belarusians also visited Pawoski where the Belarusian National Memory recently found the grave of Kastus Kalinouski's fiancee Maria Dmakhouskaya. They also visited the graves of famous photo artist Jan Bulgak and writer Tadevush Daleng-Mastovich who wrote about Belarus.

The event ended at an Orthodox cemetery in Warsaw where Orthodox priest Mitrafan Budzka and renowned literary critic Jan Zhamoitsin were recalled.

On November 2, members of the Belarusian National Memory also visited the graves of Anton Sokal-Kutylouski in Szcecin and General Jazep Bulak-Bulakhovich in Bielawieza.
