Belarusian officials in EU: Martynau is in Luxemburg and Papou – in Geneva
A delegation of deputies of the House of Representatives leaded by the speaker Vadzim Papou has headed for Geneva. They will take part in the Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly.
According to STV, Papou will hold a meeting of “the geopolitical group “Eurasia” in Geneva and the Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly will discuss the introduction of the agreement on interdiction of nuclear tests, the role of parliamentarians, the freedom of speech and the right for information.

The situation in Belarus after the recent parliamentary elections and the possibility of lifting the sanctions imposed on Belarusian officials will be discussed there. The Belarusian Foreign Minister Syarhei Martynau is in Luxemburg to conduct negotiations with the EU administration.
