Belarusian police detain print-run of opposition newspapers
Print-runs of independent editions “Narodnaya Vola” and “Tovarishch” have been detained by the police near the Belarusian-Russian border this morning. There are 11 thousand issues of “Narodnaya Vola” and 30 thousand issues of “Tovarishch” in the car. They were printed in Smolensk. No issue has been taken with the transporters or editorial staffs on any points yet. The load is being checked.
The deputy editor-in-chief of “Tovarishch” Zmitser Yanenka has informed that the police are waiting for their higher-ups to decide on the fate of the opposition newspapers.
