Belarusians organize picket near Council of EU’s building in Brussels
About 20 representatives of the Belarusian diaspora of Belgium and Poland are conducting a picket near the building of the Council of the EU in Brussels. Let us remind you that the EU Foreign Ministers will gather there to take a decision about imposing sanctions on the Belarusian authorities today.
Ihar Lazarchuk, a participant of the action, has told Euroradio on air that people are holding a 6-meter transparency “Stop the terror in Belarus!”. They are giving out information booklets describing the situation in Belarus, political prisoners and human rights violations to passers-by.
According to Lazarchuk, this is the first part of the today’s picket. The second part will be organized near the building of the Council of the EU at 1 p.m. CET.
