Belarus's political prisoners remembered in Lithuania, Estonia
Actions of solidarity with the Belarusian prisoners and the participants of the January 2008 demonstrations, now standing trial in Minsk, took place in Lithuania and Estonia, reports Belapan. In Vilnius, the event was organized by students from the European Humanities University. In the evening of April 16, young people came to the Belarusian embassy's building and installed a stand with a poster, reading: "Play with Toys, not with the Fates of People!" They laid toys to the pictures of the Belarusian leader and the chiefs of security agencies.
In Narva, near the Estonia-Russia border, Belarusian students staged an improvised picket. They unfolded a white-red-white flag and were seen handing out booklets about the political prisoners in Belarus and about the Belarusian national symbols.
