BFF Chairman fails to explain campaigning on a football field in Brest
The Chairman of the Belarusian Football Federation Henadz Niavyhlas could not say anything about the incident when children wearing T-shirts with Aliaksandr Lukashenka's portraits appeared on the football field before the match "Dynama" Brest vs "Belshina". The match took place on November 21 in Brest. The Chief Coach of the Brest team Jury Puntus explained that it had been an initiative of the Brest city council deputy Heorgi Darbuashvili, who dealt with amateur football issues. The deputy, in his turn, referred to the fact it was allowed to campaign and he conducted this action officially.
According to the regulations of the championship, the players appeared on the field holding hands with young footballers before the game. The children were wearing yellow, red and blue T-shirts with an image of Lukashenka and the sign "Our President".
