Blood donors in Mahilyow send New Year presents to cancer affected children
The Mahilyou-based blood donor organization The Drop of Life and the local youth confederation MoDeS has congratuleted the children suffering from blood cancer with Christmas and New Year.
"New Year presents and Santa Claus greetings, wishing a soon recovery were brought to the ward where these children were admitted. We hope that officials will pay attention to this ward which needs to be repaired urgently", Ihar Kavalenka, the leader of The Drop of Life told the European Radio for Belarus.
The treatment of children suffering from cancer takes a lot of time. They can remain admitted for uo to several months.
The Drop of Life is the only organization which offers free support to these children.
