Brest authorities refuse to allow soiree dated for 90th anniversary of BPR
The cultural administration of Brest Region Executive Committee has refused to allow a soiree dated for the 90th anniversary of establishment of the BPR that had been planned for March 23. The formal reason for the refusal was the fact that the organizers had not sent an appeal for it, reports BelaPAN referring to the head of the regional affiliate of the BSDP (Hramada) Ihar Maslouski. He stressed that the organizers had asked the cultural department to help them in the organization of the soiree and to allow them to do it in the assembly hall of the regional library. Poets, writers, musicians and historians were supposed to come to the soiree in Brest.
