“Brest Courier” becomes victim of “Boycott” stickers and complains to the police
The office of an independent newspaper “Brest Courier” was covered by agitation stickers “Boycott” for the second time over the past two weeks. The editor-in-chief Mikalai Alyaksandrau has complained to the police about it. As he informed in an interview with ERB, policemen have not started any investigation and have not drawn any protocol yet.
Mikalai Alyaksandrau: “We will have to remake our penthouse and spend additional money as the stickers can be removed only together with parts of the coating. Moreover, they pasted the stickers on our doorplate. We will also have to replace it”.
According to Alyaksandrau, they will only demand a reimbursement for the repairs of the penthouse and the doorplate if this case comes to trial.
By the way, the office of a local human rights defending organization was also covered with stickers “Boycott” in Brest. However, its representatives had to protect two guys detained with such stickers on Monday.
