Cash messengers had to walk to banks because of Putin’s visit to Brest
The meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Union State of Belarus and Russia that took place on March 16 is still echoing in Brest.
As ERB has found out, police cordons measured out not only the number of public transport that could pass, but also cash messengers. That is why people responsible for banking had to wait until the evening when the organizer of the meeting, the Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, left Brest. An employee of one of the wholesale bases did not want to wait till the evening and… went to the bank on foot.
Let us remind you that the city centre was cordoned off and transport was 30 minutes late.
Most banks are situated in the centre of the city while many wholesale warehouses and shops are in the suburbs. Some of them make dozens of millions rubles a day.
