Christmas day-off at “Atlant” plant worked off at 30 degrees heat
The administration of a Minsk plant producing refrigerators “Atlant” has replaced the workday of January 8 with Saturday, July 24. According to workers, the temperature reached 33 degrees in some workshops on that day. According to a website “Trade Union Movement of Belarus”, the most severe working conditions could be observed in the machine and instrument process and turn machine workshops because it is not allowed to open windows there. Workers suggested putting off the workday until autumn due to the heat.
