Civil hearings “Reconstruction of Kalozha” to take place in Hrodna today
Civil hearings “Reconstruction of Kalozha: pros and contras” will take place in Hrodna today, reports the “Nasha Niva” newspaper. Famous Belarusian scientists, arts critics and historians will take part in them. According to official sources, 83% of Hrodna inhabitants support the idea of reconstruction of the church and schoolchildren are engaged to donate for the reconstruction of the temple.
The majority of Belarusian arts critics, archeologists and architects say that it is not good to take hasty decisions about “the reconstruction” of the valuable monument, a symbol of the city, because they may prove to be fatal.
The hearing will be initiated by Hrodna affiliate of the Belarusian Language Association with the help of active city community.
