Council of Ministers introduces norms for concerts and performances

The Belarusian circus has been forbidden to give fewer than 140 performances a year and “theatres belonging to the republic” -fewer than 280. The government has introduced the norm for cultural institutions receiving financial assistance from the budget, reports “Daily”. If the norm is not fulfilled, it will be necessary to return the pro rater sum of budget money depending on the number of performances that were not given (concerts, plays, films).

The decree will come into power on January 1, 2011.
