Election commission members trained how to smile to international observers
Movement for Freedom leader Viktar Karneyenka has named three major 'know-how' of the 2010 election campaign. The first 'know-how' is that ballots are guarded by police. Karneyenka: “Never before have the police guarded ballot boxes. They would usually guard the rooms where those boxes were accommodated. Today, their powers have been extended across the whole country.
Secondly, totally unjustified abolishment of accreditation for observers and commission members. Observer Uladzimir Panfilau was deprived of his accreditation and removed from the polling station No 22 in Homel's Central District for having photographed the early voting ballot box, says Karneyenka.
The third know-how is about trainings for electoral commission members. Pro-government observers were trained how to counterattack opposition observers and how to smile to international observers.
