EPP: Milinkevich's decision is a powerful signal for the whole world

European People's Party Presidium is worried that the Belarusian authorities can again break the democratic standards during Presidential elections, informs "Charter-97". The party members think there are no conditions for conducting fair and free elections in Belarus.

The President of the party Wilfried Martens stated the EPP supported the decision of Aliaksandr Milinkevich not to participate in the elections in this situation. He added this decision was a powerful signal as for Belarus and Europe, as for the whole world.
