Eva Nyaklyaeva: What to do if the State goes after your father

Eva Nyaklyaeva, the daughter of the KGB prisoner, a presidential candidate Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu, started keeping a column called "Guide for Children of the Repressed" in the  "Novaya Gazeta". "More and more often it's the State who hurts our parents badly, not the drunken criminals from the block", Eva writes in her first article called "What to do if the State goes after your father".

Eva suggests her readers to test their parents. "Does your father have pain in his heart for the country? This is minus 1 point.  Is he an ordinary person wishing to change something? Minus 1 point. Does he particpate in civil or political movements? Real minus 1 point. In addition to this, is he a well-known and respected person? Another minus 1.

If you get less than minus 2 points - get prepared, they will come for your father sooner or later
", - warns Nyaklyaeu's daughter.

Eva has told how her father was beaten in the head and left there lying unconscious on the snow. Then they dragged him from the hospital bed, on the floor, keeping hold of his wife who was screaming for help. He has been kept in prison for a month by now, beaten, and they do not even provide his lawyer access to him, Eva says.  " I am very proud of him, as well as of Sannikau and Khalip, and of all these people whose names are in the list of those who made the State fear", - stated the politician's daughter.

Eva says that the wave of solidarity is growing.

"Only solidarity with no compromise can change the situation and save people from the State", - Eva Nyaklyaeva states.
