Ex-Ambassador of Ukraine highly estimates Lukashenka as leader of country
The former Ambassador of Ukraine to Belarus Valiantsin Nalivaichanka thinks that the President of Belarus Aliaksandr Lukashenka is an outstandingly "charismatic and Belarusian-oriented" figure. He said that in his interview to the Ukrainian daily newspaper "Ukraina Molodaya". Besides, Nalivaichanka is now the leader of the "Our Ukraine" party - the party of the Ex-President Viktor Juschenko.
"He is an outstandingly charismatic and Belarusian-oriented figure. Also, he is a very human leader of his country. Probably, my estimation is unexpected and non-standard, but after hours of meetings, conversations and work I can make such a conclusion. Moreover, he is one of the people who have positive attitude towards Ukraine. Thus, my compliments are also based on this to some extent. He always had a positive attitude to Viktor Juschenko as a person," - noted Nalivaichanka.
Alongside with that, the Ex-Ambassador stated he had to deal with other issues as well during his mission in Minsk. Nalivaichanka claimed when he recalled the year 2006, that "both KGB and law-enforcement agencies worked a bit harsh against the Ukrainian journalists who came to the election". The politician said he had to interfere in order to send his countrymen back to Ukraine.
