Ex-Bosnian Serb leader extradited to The Hague

Ex-Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic on Wednesday was airlifted from the Rotterdam airport to the UN detention center near the Hague, home to the UN War Crimes Tribunal in the Netherlands.
Authorities have not yet revealed the exact date of Karadzic's trial.

Radovan Karadzic's lawyers wanted their client tried on the territory of Serbia, but the government in Belgrade said the documents from the defense had failed to reach the office of the prosecutor on time.
