First court hearing upon "Autoradio" claims to take place today
The director of "Autoradio" Jury Bazan has informed that "there will be a substantial court hearing, and the Ministry of Information will have to prove there really were "extremist materials" on air on our radio station".
There are no explanations in this regard neither in the notification on cease of broadcasting, nor in the warning issued by the Ministry of Information, underlined the radio's boss.
Let us remind you, "Autoradio" received a notification of the RUP "BelDIE"of the Ministry of Communications of the Republic of Belarus about termination of right to use the radio frequency spector and prohibition to use radio electronic means. The notification was issued on the basis of the decision of the Republican Commission on TV and Radio No. 188/11 dated January 11, 2011. The decision is signed by the Minister of Information Praliaskouski, who heads the commission. The commission considered that there had been information containing public appeals for the extremist activity on air on "Autoradio".
