“Gazprom” to start discussing price of gas in 2008 with Belarus in November
“Gazprom” will start discussing the price of gas in 2008 with Belarus in November. According to a source of the “Kommersant” newspaper, “Gazprom” will increase the price for our country together with Ukraine and the Baltic states. Lithuania has already been asked to pay 40% more – 280 USD instead of the current 190-200 USD per one thousand cubic meters of Russian gas.
“Gazprom” will start negotiations with Latvia and Estonia in September and with Ukraine – in October (now this country is paying 130 USD per one thousand cubic meters). If the negotiations are successful, the profit of the company will increase by 15-40%.
