Georgian President welcomes Belarus’ declaration about Abkhazia and South Ossetia

The Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili welcomes Belarus’ declaration that is it necessary to enter Abkhazia and South Ossetia only from Georgia, reports GHN. “I cannot but welcome the brave decision of Belarus forbidding its citizens to violate Georgian laws and warning them about the responsibility for illegal crossing of the border of Abkhazia and South Ossetia”, -  claimed Saakashvili  at a meeting with representatives of the parliamentary majority.

Let us remind you that the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs asked its citizens to obey the Georgian legislation when making trips to Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Entering the republics from Russia will lead to criminal prosecution. Two Belarusian citizens were arrested in Georgia for it the other day.
