Głos znad Niemna na Uchodźstwie editor's trial postponed in Hrodna

The trial of Irena Valuys who edits the Hrodna-based Polish minority newspaper began today at 10 a.m. Journalists and her friends were not admitted into a court room. 30 minutes into the hearing, it became known that Irena Valyus was supposed to be tried in connection with her detention in Valozhyn where the authorities had sezied the local Polish House. Earlier, it was reported that she was facing charges of taking part in an unauthorized event in Hrodna.

Later, it was reported that Hrodna's Kastrychnitski District Court decided to forward Irena Valyus' case to Hrodna's Leninski District Court. It was not announced why this decision was made. The name of the judge is also unknown.
