Government plans to pay mothers 10 million roubles for giving birth to a second child

The Belarusian government is planning to pay mothers 10 million roubles for giving birth to a second child starting from the next year. This sum is mentioned in the economic development forecast of Belarus in 2009. However, it may be changed and it is not clear how much money mothers will get and whether they will get it at all.

It is also planned to increase the moneyed assistance for bringing up children under the age of 3 to the minimum living wage (now it is almost 225 thousand roubles), reports the website kp.by.
