Health, education spending to rise 7 percent next year

The Belarusian government plans to increase health and education spending by seven percent next year, BelTA quoted Finance Minister Andrey Kharkavets as saying. Social spending is projected to rise by 15 percent.


The government slates consolidated budget expenditures at 52.3 trillion rubels and revenues at 49.6 trillion rubels. The deficit is expected to amount to 2.7 trillion rubels and account for 1.7 percent of GDP.
