Holy masses dedicated to Nativity of Christ to take place today in Christian Orthodox churches

Orthodox believers celebrate Christmas on January, 7. Festive holy masses dedicated to the Nativity of Christ will start this evening in all the Orthdox churches in Belarus. 
Close intertwist of ancient folk and church traditions has set the beginning and the end of the Christmastide - it begins with the Nativity of Christ and ends with the Epiphany. Thus, all the evenings since today till January 19 are considered holy.
