Homel inhabitants to agitate against Lukashenka
Initiative groups of Homel inhabitants are going to conduct meetings with the purpose of agitation against presidential candidate Alyaksandr Lukashenka and discussion of his political and business qualities and personal traits, informs BelaPAN. According to the coordinator of a civil campaign “For Fair Elections” Uladzimir Katsora, Soviet and Central District Election Committees of Homel have been informed about it.
Katsora explained that article #45 of the Election Code allowed people to campaign for or against a candidate at social gatherings, meetings, in mass media and at meetings with electors.
According to him, the law obliges district election committees to inform electors about the time and place where the meeting organized by electors will take place in the local press or in some other way.
