Iceland boy calls George Bush on his secret phone number
16-year-old high-school student Wiphill Atlasson in Iceland found the secret personal number of U.S. President George W. Bush and called him. However, he was unable to get hold of Bush at the moment of the call.
The teenager then left a humorous message on the answering machine, introducing himself as the president of Iceland and saying that he would like to have a talk. The schoolboy also invited the U.S. president to come to Iceland with a private visit.
Bush did not return the call and did not come either. Instead, police appeared to find out how Atlasson learned the U.S. president's secret telephone number. The teenager confessed that he had run across this number several years ago but could not recall the circumstances.
The White House in Washington, D.C. has declined a comment on this incident. It is not clear either if the teenager will be punished for his joke, reports the Russian news agency Ria-Novosti.
