KGB summons EHU students and teachers for conversations
Students and a teacher of the European Humanities University have been summoned to the Belarusian KGB for a conversation.
The EHU student Katsia Stsiapanava has informed to BelaPAN, that the customs officers took her off the train in the morning on December 24 and transported to the Astravets KGB department for interrogation.
The EHU teacher Sviatlana Navumava, a representative of the civil campaign "Tell the Truth" has informed she was also summoned to the KGB for a conversation.
The coordinator of the EHU student service Tatsiana Babich has informed that the KGB talked to 5 more EHU students this week. Unlike Stsiapanava, they were interrogated in the frontier point and had an opportunity to take a train there afterwards.
Apart from that, Babich stated that the list of arrested EHU students had expanded to 10 people by now. The majority of them have been sentenced to 10-15 days of detention.
The EHU student Anastasia Palazhanka is a suspect in the criminal case on mass disturbance and is now in the KGB detention center. The EHU teacher Aliaksandr Fiaduta is also there.
