Latvia introduces free national visas for Belarusians since today

Latvia has abolished consular fees for issuance of national long-term visas for the citizens of Belarus since today, January 24.  Thus, Belarusians can now obtain national long-term Latvian visas of the "D" category free of charge. Such visas are granted to those who plan to stay in Latvia for more than 90 days within half a year. These are, in the first place, students, and also people who go to Latvia to work. 

The Latvian Embassy has informed to BELTA, that the mechanism of issuance and the costs for Shengen visas remained the same.
