Lazavik suggests depriving Statkevich of presidential candidate’s "halo"

The Central Election Commission is considering the possibility of depriving presidential candidates Vital Rymasheuski and Mikalai Statkevich of their registration on November 30. The sanctions may be imposed on the candidates for having organized an unauthorized meeting in October Square on November 24, 2010. Mikalai Lazavik is a reporter in the case because he was present in October Square on November 24. “I liked the action, - noted the CEC secretary. – Everyone was civilized, nobody elbowed anyone. Despite the fact that the present were being assured that the regime had driven Belarus over the edge, some of them disagreed and kept shouting “Live, Belarus!”.

Mikalai Lazavik has suggested pronouncing a warning to Rymasheuski and depriving Statkevich of his presidential candidate’s "halo". The CEC secretary has also suggested that Uladzimir Nyaklyayeu’s participation in the action should not be considered “to preserve him for future creative search”.
