Leader of Statkevich's HQ Siarhej Martsaleu is in KGB detention center
Siarhej Martsaleu, the head of ex-presidential candidate Mikalaj Statkevich's election HQ, is now in the KGB detention center.
The press-secretary of the committee for defending prisoners' rights "Over Barrier" Tsimafej Dranchuk has informed BelaPAN about this.
Martsaleu was took off the Minsk-Warsaw train by the Belarusian customs officers in Brest and handed in to the police. He was going to Warsaw to take part in the program of the Polish TV-Channel "Belsat" upon their invitation. The policemen kept him in the nearest police department till the morning of December 24 and then he became unavailable.
His whereabouts became known only in the evening on December 24, when representatives of the KGB detention center called his relatives. They also informed that Martsaleu was a suspect in the mass disturbance criminal case, started after the events in Minsk on December 19.
