Leaders of Belarusian opposition are expected in Polish Ministry of Foreign Affaires today
Negotiations of leaders of the United Democratic Forces of Belarus and the Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski will take place in Minsk on October 21. Co-leaders of the UDF Vintsuk Vyachorka, Anatol Lyaukovich, Syarhei Kalyakin and Anatol Lyabedzka, former presidential candidates Alyaksandr Kazulin and Alyaksandr Milinkevich and the co-leader of the steering committee on creation of “Belarusian Christian Democracy” Pavel Sevyarynets have been invited to the meeting.
The situation in Belarus after the recent parliamentary elections and the warming of relations between Brussels and the official Minsk will be discussed during the negotiations.
BelaPAN reports that UDF leaders have prepared ideas about changing the Belarusian legislation to make it more democratic. First of all, it is the democratization of the election process. Radoslaw Sikorski will also receive amendments to the law on mass media prepared by the Belarusian Association of Journalists.
