Lukashenka’s press secretary: Yanukovich’s visit is not postponed

The date of the visit of the Ukrainian President Victar Yanukovich to Belarus is being specified. BelaPAN informs that the visit may take place either on April 29-30 or on May 1-2. A work group that will appoint the date and approve the programme of the visit has arrived in Minsk. Yanukovich was expected to arrive in Belarus on April 28. However, the press secretary of the Belarusian leader Pavel Lyohki has informed ERB that the date was not announced officially:
Pavel Lyohki: "The person who claimed that the visit would take place on April 28 should better explain why the visit has been postponed. For example, I have no official information about the fact that the visit was planned to take place at the end of April. I have no information about any plans of the kind… As far as I know, the information came from Ukraine”.

By the way, Yanukovich made a speech for deputies of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg on April 27. He also met the head of the PACE Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and discussed the strategy of relations with Belarus with him.
