Mahileu was very nearly left without water. The state security department found a depot of “black diggers” 20 meters away from the artesian well not far from the village of Sumarokava, Mahileu District.
There were 16 shells in it. It was impossible to destroy them on the spot. A special operation had to be organized in order to liquidate the dangerous find. Field engineers took the underground arsenal to a special ground and destroyed it, reports the “SB” newspaper.
