Mіlana Mіhalevіch: Valadarski Street detention centre refuses to report Ales’ whereabouts
Milana Mihalevich, the wife of a former presidential candidate Ales Mihalevich, has visited the detention centre in Valadarski Street together with the politician’s sister Alena today. They tried to find out where Ales had been kept for several days. Let us remind you that Mihalevich was transferred to the detention centre in Valadarski Street from KGB detention centre on January 5 or 6. Milana found it out accidentally when she tried to send a parcel to her husband. Mihalevich’s lawyer is the last person who met him on the evening of January 6.
An appeal to report Ales’ whereabouts has been sent to the head of the detention centre today.
However, as Milana Mihalevich informed Euroradio on air, they refused to provide the information to her but accepted the appeal. They warned her that “the investigators were the competent authority in the issue rather than the head of the detention centre”.
"We will try to contact the investigators now”, - said the politician’s wife.
